Discounting Texan Ross Perot's 1992 juggernaut and his weak 1996 encore, Trump received the lowest percentage of votes since Gerald Ford in 1976 -- 5.4 percentage points lower than Mitt Romney in 2012.  In addition, Clinton improved on Obama's 2012 performance.

Retiring Guy's prediction:  It's just a matter of time before Democrats win this county, though 2020 might be too early to bet on with confidence.
