Suspect Eludes Deputies by Wading Into California Surf.  (US News, 5/8/2017)
Lt. Wayne Rehnelt of the Orange County Sheriff's Department says the suspect spent about two hours Saturday waist deep in chilly water as waves crashed over his head.
Meanwhile deputies waited patiently on the sand at Dana Point and in a helicopter overhead. The man eventually came ashore, was handcuffed and brought to a hospital for treatment of possible mild hypothermia.

Jan & Dean's follow-up to "The Little Old Lady (from Pasadena", "Ride the Wild Surf" debuted at #82 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week ending September 19, 1964.  It spent 8 weeks on the chart and peaked at #16.
