Clocking in at 1,524 words, this is the longest WTO obit I've encountered in years.

A very steady performer in the middle half of the 20th century, 'Neil' spent a slight broken stretch of 56 years (1928-1983; 1962, 1963, 1967, and 1968 the exceptions) in the top 200, peaking at #146 in 1953. I suspect his 1-year rise of 54 places, to #164, in 1969 can be attributed to this guy. His self-titled 1st album was released in January 1969, Everybody Knows This is Nowhere, with Crazy Horse, 5 months later.
