This week in the cereal aisle: Special K continues to branch out


The original, which you'll find in the lower left-hand corner of the photo, getting seriously crowded out, was introduced by Kellogg's in 1955.

To be 'grossly generalistic', big cereal makers use product proliferation to hog the shelves and squeeze the shit out the competition.
