Wright’s right: Keep pushing for Fallingwater on UNESCO World Heritage List. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, 7/26/2016)
The conservancy is spearheading efforts to get 10 of Wright’s masterpieces in seven states added to the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Best known to Pittsburghers is Fallingwater, built in 1936 for department store owner Edgar Kauffman Sr. The others represent other high points in Wright’s career and breakthroughs in design.
