Deep shit update: Speaker Ryan rejects "it", not Trump. Period.

The GOP nominee for President is not mentioned by name.

Guess Ryan was finally shamed into issuing a press release.  Although only the latest instance in which Trump has attacked a convention speaker, the Republican nominee’s remarks drew strong rebukes Saturday — but only silence from several senior GOP leaders, including House Speaker Paul D. Ryan, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the vice-presidential nominee, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.  [emphasis added]

Pence's not exactly well-received tweet from Sunday evening, July 31.

Because there are sure to be many more 'breaks' between now and Election Day, I'd like to dedicate this song to the beleagued Speaker.

Their third single spent a mere 8 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #39 in the late spring of 1964.  Sad!
