A new series takes a look at the numerical changes in Wisconsin public library collections in 9-year increments: 1996, 2005, and 2014.
Based on the different 9-year pattern we see here, I decided another trip to the service data was in order.
All statistical information from the Wisconsin Public Library Service Data.
I used the library inflation calculator at the State Library of North Carolina's website to gain the following information:
$31,276 from the year 1996 expressed in 2012 dollars (most current inflation index available) is $50,222. If inflation is not taken into account, the percentage change from $31,276 to $31,355 over the 16-year period is 0%. However, taking inflation into account, the percentage change from $50,222 to $31,355 is actually -38%.Algoma Public Library
