The ultimate in silent car porn.

But the company also grabbed lots of attention with its new Ford GT, a wildly aerodynamic, niche sports car that only few consumers could ever afford.

The two-door GT coupe will go into production this year, and Ford is planning to build only a few thousand. While Ford has not disclosed a price, industry analysts said the GT’s sticker price would be well above $100,000.

With its swooping design and low, wide stance, the GT resembles an exotic, European-made sports car from decades past. Its 600-horsepower engine stirs memories of Detroit’s fixation on speed in the 1960s, when the first GT was developed to compete in the famed Le Mans racing event.

'You' being the Ford GT.
