Don't Expect Athletes at Public Universities To Unionize Anytime Soon
Union Effort at Northwestern May Not Mean Much for Public Colleges. (The New York Times, 4/26/2014)
Not to mention Speaker Robin Vos. This means that whether football or basketball players at a public university can ever unionize is up to its state government. Experts on sports law do not see many governors or state senators rushing to give their State U.’s star quarterback the right to unionize.
Hey, I think this is an occasion when the nameless experts get it right.
