Excerpt: [Jim] Buckley [treasurer of the library's endowment board] noted that the Angie Williams Cox Library has an unusual governance system. The library board oversees the day-to-day operations of the library, including hiring and acquiring materials for the library’s collection. The endowment board oversees the endowment fund that Cox (1870-1955) originated, and maintains the building and grounds, as well as providing “extras” that might not fit in the library’s budget.
