Meeting service needs:
- Increase in summer hours
- 62% boost in Saturday circulations
- Part-time adult tutoring service coordinator
- Hiring of 2 part-time professional libraries
- Development of searchable local history index of people, places, and events
- Enhancement of children's programs, including early literacy
- Increasing and updating automated checkout equipment (express checkout)
- Automated materials handler
- Reduction of 4.25 staff positions since 2010
- Mayor recommends a $100,000 reduction in appropriation in 2013
