Mayor Justin Nickels proposed a 1.5% decrease in the tax levy -- $747 on a $100,000 home.

The Finance Committee countered with a flat tax levy -- $759 on a $100,000 home.

One of the beneficiaries of the amended budget is the library.  The Finance Committee restores $50,000 of the Mayor's proposed $100,000 cut.

The full Council votes on the budget on Monday, November 19.
