Engineer-Turned-Novelist Out With Second Book. (Door County Daily News, 6/16/2011)

Excerpt:    Jacobson, who recently finished his second historical novel, is an engineer by trade so perhaps it's not surprising it took some work to make the transition to successful novelist. Jacobson says part of that transition involved paying a visit to writing coach Judy Bridges to get her professional opinion on his first book, Night of Flames.

Jacobson tells us he rewrote Night of Flames "about a hundred times" and it "finally turned out to be a book that people actually enjoy reading."

His current book, The Katyn Order, is based on a 1940 war crime committed by the Russians in a place called the Katyn Forest. Jacobson says the killing of 20,000 Polish officers was a "deep, dark secret" for more than 50 years until it was finally admitted by the Russians
