Parent Ann Wentworth said she will appeal a decision by Superintendent of Schools Jim Sebert to keep the book "One of Those Hideous Books Where the Mother Dies" by Sonya Sones available at Theisen Middle School.
"It's important to me if I start something to see it through," she said.
Wentworth had requested the book be removed from the library shelf at Theisen, where her children attend school. Six additional books that she also requested be removed are on hold while the appeal moves forward, said school district Curriculum and Instruction Coordinator John Whitsett.
