Significantly, Johnson held a 6-point lead over Barnes among independent voters. In August, it was Barnes who held a 15-point edge among independents.

The 6-point lead, by the way, includes 'likely voters'.  Barnes and Johnson are tied at 46% with registered voters.  And it seems like an awfully small sample to make a big deal about.
