Arizona sets record for warmest 'cold season'

  • 'Cold season' defined:  6-month period from Oct. 1 through March 31
  • Arizona's 20th century average:  47.8 degrees
  • Arizona's 2017-18 record:  52.6 degrees
  • Arizona's cold season has warmed by 3.5 degrees since 1968
