"Sara" has been a consistently "go-to" name since 1880.  Stevie Nicks' "Sara" was released in 1979, so we can't give her credit for the name's ascendance during the 1970s.  On the other hand, "Sara Smile" by Hall & Oates was released in 1975, and "Sara" jumped 27 places on the Social Security Administration's Popular Baby Names Top 1000 in 1976, from #54 to #27.

"I Can't Stop Loving You" grabbed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 during the week the WAHS class of '62 graduated.
