No big deal, sez Lampert, in another quote from the Times article. “For sure there is more money we could be investing in our stores, but when we did invest in our stores, we didn’t see a return, If I can’t invest in 100 stores and do well, doing that across 1,000 stores doesn’t make sense.”
Easy for him to say. His hedge fund owns 55% of the shares of Sears Holdings.
As Sears moves forward to become an online shopping powerhouse.
