Second Chances in Politics, a Scorecard: Mark Sanford (yes), Anthony Weiner (TBD)

As for Mark Sanford, the majority of South Carolina voters said "all is forgiven".

And I quote.

"More recently, I've experienced how none of us goes through life without mistakes.  But in their wake, we can learn a lot about grace, a God of second chances, and be the better for it.  In that light, I humbly step forward and ask your help in changing Washington."

(Hmm....is he inferring that an affair with Maria Belen Chapur was his first mistake in life?)

Meanwhile, will New York City voters be as forgiving of Anthony Weiner?

Body language seems to indicate an undecided voter.

And I quote.

"Look, I made some big mistakes. And I know I let a lot of people down. But I've also learned some tough lessons. I'm running for Mayor because I've been fighting for the middle class and those struggling to make it my entire life. And I hope I get a second chance to work for you."
