Parts of the trip have been coordinated by longtime library advocate and former Iowa first lady Christie Vilsack, who moved to Washington when her husband Tom became the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. So the itinerary includes several "insider" bonuses, including a private tour of the White House's West Wing and the State Department's rarely toured diplomatic reception rooms.
