The poll is the latest discouraging snapshot for Trump, who announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election last month and has since faced skepticism and criticism, including from his own party and from politicians and pundits previously devoutly loyal to him.
Trump’s stock among the GOP has fallen considerably since the November midterms, in which Republicans only barely eked out a House majority and failed to take the Senate. Several of Trump’s hand-picked and endorsed candidates lost their contests, including Mehmet Oz in Pennsylvania and Herschel Walker in Georgia.
Trump has also triggered a pair of scandals in the last month. He had dinner with the rapper Kanye West, known as “Ye,” who has made virulently antisemitic comments, and Nick Fuentes, described by the Justice Department as a white supremacist. Trump also made headlines by posting online that parts of the Constitution should be abolished to correct what he claimed was widespread election fraud in 2020 and return him to office

None of this bothers MAGA.

Just the opposite.

As Trump said in January 2016:
"I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn't lose any voters, OK?  It's, like, incredible."
Right now the other candidates are eating Trump's orange dust.
