The report also notes that the Arctic sea ice cover in April 2015 was 5.5% below the 1981-2010, the second smallest cover since recordkeeping began in 1979.

Climate change deniers, on the other hand, will likely ignore all other data and point to the fact that the April 2015 Antarctic ice cover was the largest on record -- 22.4% above the 1981-2010 average.
