"We very well might have a candidate in the room or that’s been at the convention this weekend,” Eric Toney, the Fond du Lac County district attorney, told the convention crowd at one point Saturday.
But outside of their presence in the convention center, none of the men who have signaled interest in the race appeared to give any additional signs of their intentions as Wisconsin Republican leaders indicated they believe there is plenty of time for the field to develop.
