Had enough of old white men? The push for additional funding reflects a fascination among legislators with advances in fields like molecular biology, genetics and regenerative medicine, even as they wage bitter battles over just how large a role the government should play in financing health care and providing coverage.
It appears that the old white men -- Chuck Grassley (84), Orrin Hatch (83), Richard Shelby (83), Jim Imhofe (83), Pat Roberts (83), Thad Cochran (81), and John McCain (80) -- are indeed praying for a miracle.
"Old White Men" appears on Sheet Music, 10cc's 2nd album, which debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart for the week ending August 10, 1974. It spent 14 weeks on the chart, peaking at #81. Time has ruled that it deserved much better.
