The positives for DeSantis, as enumerated by reporter Ron Elving (with RG reactions):

1. It's early in the campaign season.  (Real Clear Politics lists the results of more than 100 GOP nomination polls that have been conducted during the past year.)
2. The field is unsettled.  (Trump has maintained a more than 20 percentage point lead since early April.  He is currently at 54% compared to DeSantis's 18.3%.)
3. "...there are beacons of hope for troubled candidates in recent presidential campaign history."  (Tell that to Scott Walker!)

Bottom line, Ron:  Nobody like Ron DeSantis.
