A boom, a cloud of dust, and a hearty 'hi-yo, Silver!"

Say goodbye and good riddance to the Trump Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City

1984.  The 39-story building opens in May, the 10th and largest casino in Atlantic City with 60,000 square feet of space for gambling.  600 hotel rooms.

2014.  Casino operation shuts down.  It was the worst-performing casino at the time.

The Trump Plaza has stood for years as one of the city’s most visible eyesores, occupying prime land on the boardwalk. Chunks of falling debris and metal contributed to its designation as an “imminent hazard,” setting the stage for Wednesday’s demolition.
Just like his presidency.  From day one.
