Ottawa County Board agrees it’s “time to move on from the errors of the past board, including Commissioner Moss”

John Tunison reports:
Commissioners on Tuesday, Nov. 25 voted against forming a special committee to investigate the complaint. Most said they saw no benefit in spending resources on the effort.
“It is time to move on from the errors of the past board, including Commissioner Moss,” Board of Commissioners Chair John Teeples said. “We have nothing more to learn or gain,” Teeples said
He said the board should focus on issues important to the public, like solving the county’s groundwater shortages, as well as housing and transportation issues.
The accusations against Moss, who chaired the board in 2023 and 2024 after winning his seat in 2022 as part of the highly conservative Ottawa Impact political platform, centered around a December 10, 2024, closed session.
