Far-right Ottawa Impact up to more shenanigans

HeadlineHolland Sentinel, 12/4/2024
At the end of the meeting, during public comment, resident David Barnosky said the move seems meant to “protect” KLG before the new board arrives, particularly because a "just cause" clause would be refreshed. A
ccording to the amendment, the county can only terminate KLG's contract for "just cause" related to actions that occur after the update, meaning the new board won't be able to reference anything that happened between Jan. 3, 2023, and Dec. 1, 2024.
"You realize that your fiduciary duty is to Ottawa County and not to Kallman Legal Group, right?" Barnosky said.
Kallman Legal Group was hired during the inaugural meeting of the new Ottawa Impact majority. The firm was hired to replace longtime corporation counsel Doug VanEssen.
