Far-right Ottawa Impact member Joe Moss will need to build a coalition in order to remain chair of Ottawa County Commission

Another episode in the long-running Ottawa County Clown Show.

Ottawa Impact members will no longer have a majority.

Election results:  Ottawa County
Headline: mlive,  8/7/2024
RNC, take note:
But Ottawa Impact Commissioners Gretchen Cosby (District 1) and Roger Belknap (District 9) lost their primary elections to more traditional Republican candidates. Former recalled Ottawa Impact Commissioner Lucy Ebel lost her primary race in District 2 as well.
Voters also favored more traditional Republicans for countywide positions of power.
With all precincts fully reporting, voters across the Ottawa County preferred more moderate, traditional establishment Republicans for the countywide elected official positions over those Republicans aligned with Ottawa Impact.

In other words, a sharp rebuke to the MAGA wing of the GOP.
