Wisconsin 2024 elections: Republican Ty Bodden announces candidacy for 3rd Assembly District

Republican Ty Bodden (R-Hilbert) currently represents the 58th Assembly District, to which he was first elected in November 2022 after serving 5 years on the Stockbridge Village Board

The district is currently represented by Ron Tusler (R-Harrison), who whined to WisPolitics in March 2024 that
...he and Bodden were “Tony-mandered” into same district and were still trying to figure out their plans. But he said they are close friends and wanted to make sure there’s a way “we can both stay in the Assembly.”
They're practically neighbors.

Tusler has yet to make a re-election announcement.

According to WisPolitics, the 3rd district is 63.5% Republican.

Bodden beats to the punch.  Their friendship might be a bit strained now.
Representative Ty Bodden has announced he will run for the Wisconsin 3rd Assembly District. Bodden, a Republican from Hilbert, has been an assembly member since 2022 and has represented the 59th Assembly District since January 2023.
New legislative maps have placed Bodden in the newly drawn 3rd Assembly District. Bodden said he wants to continue to fight to cut spending, reduce the size of government and advocate for law enforcement among other key issues in his platform.
Representative Ron Tusler, a Republican from Harrison was also drawn into the 3rd Assembly District. He has not announced if he will seek the assembly seat in this election.
