Wisconsin 2024 election: Democrat Christian Phelps announces his candidacy for the 93rd Assembly District

Eau Claire resident Christian Phelps is making his first run for an Assembly seat.

The district is currently represented by Warren Petryk (R-Eau Claire), who was first elected to the Assembly in November 2010.  He has yet to make a re-election announcement.

According to WisPolitics, the 3rd district is 56.3% Democratic.  A likely flip.

Phelps is an Eau Claire native and shared his priorities if elected into office.
He discussed his plans if elected, including advocator for stronger public schools, reproductive freedom, and Medicaid expansion among others.
He said he decided to run for assembly because he wanted to be an advocate for the Chippewa Valley “
I understand how to responsibly use a platform to tell young people, laborers and everybody that deserves a quality life in the Chippewa Valley, which is all of us, what it means to really respect them and try to put our shared values into action,” Phelps said.
