Shawano City-County Library Receives $13,500 Cut (3%) in County Funding
Library board makes no cuts -- for now. (Shawano Leader, 9/27/2011)
Excerpt: There will be no immediate budget cuts in 2012 for the Shawano City-County Library, although the library board plans to closely monitor the purse strings and will recommend cuts on a quarterly basis if needed.
The board voted Monday to not make additional cuts from the budget it approved in July and instead urged Library Director Kristie Wilson to keep close tabs on expenses.
The budget OK'd in July included $453,500 in Shawano County funds. One month later the county said the budget would need to be reduced to $424,000, but ultimately the county Finance Committee voted to reduce it to $440,000.
