The White House said Monday that border czar Tom Homan will oversee Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in Minnesota and head to Minneapolis after immigration officers shot and killed a second U.S. citizen protesting enforcement operations. 
President Donald Trump said in a social media post Monday that Homan “has not been involved in that area, but knows and likes many of the people there.”
 
Maybe he just had another stroke?

In 2025, Michigan saw passenger vehicle visits from Canada drop to about 8.3 million from nearly 10 million in 2024, a nearly 16% decline, according to the latest U.S. Customs and Border Protection data. 
Some Canadian officials have urged residents to shop local and “not travel to the US,” including former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who last summer encouraged Canadians to “choose Canada” for their vacations.

USA box office for the 4th weekend 2017-2026

 
USA box office on the 4th weekend of 2026 is down 12% compared to last year when "Flight Risk" was the top-grossing movie.  This year "Merry" is the #1 movie this weekend. 

And it's down 41% from a 2018 peak when  "Maze Runner: Death Cure" ruled the box office.

Warnings of frigid temperatures, high winds and blizzards have been issued across 37 states, from Texas to Maine, resulting in major theater closures across the country. Unsurprisingly, this ranks as the lowest collective weekend of the year with roughly $60 million across all films, down roughly 9% from the same period in 2025.
