They Can Hear Us Now

Below you'll find the text of an email from Rosemary Potter, Director of Government Relations UW Colleges and UW Extension, to the UW Colleges Staff.

Please keep in mind that the process is still in process, so to speak, but we are certainly moving in the right direction.  A number of WLA members have received emails from their Republican representatives in the Assembly about the compromise language, summarized in the first sentence of the third paragraph.  The Senate still needs to act -- and as Rosemary points out, we need to confirm that the written language from the Assembly side conforms with the verbal agreement.

I, too, am thankful for and extremely impressed by the widespread advocacy on this important issue.  Stay tuned.  Once the Assembly change's in the budget (re: WiscNet) are confirmed, we'll need to focus on the Senate.
