Ryan Spaude currently serves as the Assistant District Attorney for Brown County.
One-man clown show Elijah Behnke (R-Oconto) currently represents the 89th, which had been a safe Republican district thanks to gerrymandering. A fair map flips the equation. Behnke is running for re-election in the 4th District.
Spaude’s personal focus as an assistant DA is prosecuting drunk drivers. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
Before the state drew new legislative maps, Assembly District 89 encompassed the northeastern part of Brown County, including portions of the village of Howard and the Town of Suamico, along with the eastern half of Oconto County and Marinette County.New legislative maps show District 89 will cover the west side of Green Bay and Ashwaubenon.
