Who's Running for State Office in Wisconsin 2012: 78th Assembly District (General Election Edition)

Mark Pocan, now running for Tammy Baldwin's U.S. House seat, has represented the 78th Assembly District since 1998.  Redistricting has changed completed changed its boundaries.

Brett Hulsey won the 79th Assembly seat in 2010. Redistricting puts his residence in the 78th.  A good portion of the 77th in which Hulsey was elected in now in the 78th.

The Democratic incumbent

Biography.  Born April 28, 1959; married; one son, one daughter. 

B.A. Middlebury College 1982; M.S. Natural Science U. of Oklahoma 1988. 

Owner of energy and environmental consulting firm.

Member: Democratic Party; AARP; Sierra Club; Clean Wisconsin; Wis. Wildlife Federation; YMCA; Spring Harbor Middle School PTO; National Association of Counties Green Government Advisory Com.; Madison Nordic Ski Club (fmr. pres.).

Former Dane Co. supervisor 1998-2010.

Elected to Assembly 2010.

A tireless campaigner, Hulsey easily defeated his opponent in the August 14th Democratic primary

Hulsey was involved in a bizarre series of incidents recently.
