Candidate biographies

The winner of the August 12 primary will face Democratic candidate Scott Grover Heinig.

About Scott, something of a mystery man:
  • Home:  Plymouth
  • Occupation:
  • Elected office/memberships: Heinig is listed here as a 2009 candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.  Tony Evers, who won the election, is also from Plymouth.

The 27th Assembly District is currently represented by Steve Kestell, who has served in the state legislature since 1998.  Kestell announced his retirement in April.
