CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss has 60 Minutes in her sights for her next major network shakeup, with reports suggesting significant layoffs and a change in tone for the long-running news program. 

According to Oliver Darcy’s Status newsletter, Weiss is looking at revamping the show after the current season ends in May. A source familiar with the situation told Darcy that Weiss is ready to “blow it up as soon as the season is over.” 

While another staffer told the outlet, “no one knows what to expect,” Darcy reported that Weiss is expected to bring in younger correspondents who are more aligned with her editorial vision. [emphasis added]
