Derrick Van Orden told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he does not regret supporting former President Donald Trump’s false claims about the 2020 election — framing them as election integrity concerns — but suggested he wishes he did not attend the Trump rally that preceded the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, if it would have prevented the public from believing he embraced the violence. [emphasis added]
“I don't regret supporting voter integrity,” the Republican retired Navy SEAL said in an interview just outside the House chamber.

“I don’t think they did any cheating like they did in 2020,” Lindell told the Miami Herald on Friday evening, referring to Miami-Dade election results. He said the 2022 results could prove rigged tallies from 2020. “Here’s Miami-Dade County in 2020 when they cheated, and here’s Miami-Dade County in 2022 when they didn’t. We could finally have an A/B example.”
The interview did not last long, with Lindell reacting angrily when pressed to explain how “machine manipulation” occurred in Miami-Dade in 2020.
“You’re a full of crap [sense 6b] journalist,” Lindell told a Herald reporter who called. “Have a nice day.”

Dan Kelly

In response to Brandtjen’s question at the December panel, Kelly said there should be even more oversight of various aspects of government from the Republicans who control the Legislature. He cited a 160-page manual he published last year in conjunction with the conservative Institute for Reforming Government about legislative oversight and the ways it can be used as a “call to action” for people.
“My encouragement to the Legislature is to remember their authority because that could be one of the most powerful ways that they can engage in protecting our liberties,” Kelly said. [What Kelly means is protecting the GOP liberties with gerrymandering.]
Mike Browne, deputy director of progressive advocacy group A Better Wisconsin Together, says Brandtjen and Kelly pushing for even more investigations is dangerous.
GOP Strategist Jonathan Aanestad

Jonathan Aanestad, a Republican strategist who helped recruit and train thousands of election judges statewide through his nonprofit, Minnesota Election Integrity Solutions, says many signed up because they were skeptical of the 2020 election. Seeing the election up close — and undoubtedly, the results — didn’t change that.
“It has not alleviated a lot of the skepticism, I can say, absolutely,” he said. “The majority that I talked to are still skeptical.”
Poll workers made hundreds of reports of suspicious activity to the state party, he said. Most of them were benign, although a few raised eyebrows.
Aanestad said he’s still a skeptic based on “a lot of the stuff we’ve uncovered from 2020.”
