Another empty storefront to appear on State Street in Madison WI

Madison's State Street is losing its Gap store.  (Wisconsin State Journal, 5/15/2019)
The company announced in February that it was closing 230 of its stores over the next two years, with half of those closings coming this year. According to Business Insider, the retailer saw sales fall over the holidays by 7%.

The first Gap store opened on Ocean Avenue in San Francisco in 1969.

One block west of the Gap you'll find two empty storefronts side by side.
