The Trump effect in Wisconsin's 1st State Senate District



Caleb Frostman defeats André Jacque in 1st Senate District special election.  (Green Bay Press Gazette, 6/12/2018)
Frostman also won the election in a district that Republicans have represented for more than 40 years. That is likely to energize progressives seeking to flip the GOP-controlled Senate in what observers say may be part of a “blue wave” of Democratic electoral successes this fall.
