A closer look at Wisconsin's population loss: Dodge County



According to U.S. census counts, Dodge County's population had grown steadily from 1890 until 2010.  So far in this decade, the county has lost an estimated 257 residents.  Beaver Dam, its largest city, has gained an estimated 322 residents since 2010.  Population loss, it appears, is occurring everywhere else in the county.

As of July 1, 2014, 16.3% Dodge County's population is 65 and over compared to the state's 15.2%.  Its 0-to-4 demographic of is 4.9% vs. Wisconsin's 5.9%
