Business as usual: Wisconsin GOP legislators vote for special interests, against local control and tenants' rights

AB568 passed on a party-line vote in both the Assembly and Senate.

Now get a load of this 'local control' hypocrisy, as inscribed in the #1 Wisconsin GOP principle...the most effective government is government closest to the people.
Wausau's rental licensing ordinance passed in 2013 and took effect mid-2014. It required all rental properties be licensed and regularly inspected so owners comply with all city codes. The goal of rental licensing was to protect tenants of properties with poor living conditions and to reduce blight in the city.  (As reported in the same article, here and below.)
