Aleta Grace Pearson, 58, of Horseshoe Bend, was arrested in Jonesboro. The arrest report shows she is pastor of Fanning the Flame Church, 4918 E. Nettleton Ave. A review of court records in Sharp County Circuit Court shows Grace wrote a $10,450 bogus check in July 2023, to cover unpaid rent at a Hardy restaurant. After several attempts to have Grace make good on the check, the landlord pressed charges, which were filed in January of this year.
