Trumpiest county in Ohio is 97.5% white with one of the lowest education achievement levels in the state

 
Trump received more than 83% of the vote in Holmes County in 2020.

Its lack of diversity makes it prime MAGA country.


Its residents have an education level that is nearly 70% below the U.S. average.
 
% of population 25 and older with bachelor's degree:
  • 11.0% - Holmes County
  • 30.4% - Ohio
  • 34.3% - U.S.


Franklin County, home of Columbus and the Ohio State University, is the state's most populous and best educated counties and one of Ohio's 2nd least Trumpy counties. (That honor goes to Cuyahoga County.)  Its current population of 1,326,063 is more double what it was in 1970, whereas Cuyahoga County's population has decreased 30% during the past 50 years.

Franklin County has nearly four times the number of residents with bachelor's degrees than Holmes County has.
