Not much is left of what has stood for more than a century as a symbol of industry and hard work in the heart of this lakeshore city.
All that remains of Manitowoc's old Mirro Aluminum Company building on Washington Street is the brick and cement archway thousands of employees walked in and out of through the years.
In the coming months, a developer plans to build housing on the square’s south side. Before the bulldozers begin digging, we thought we would take a look at Mirro and the Mirro site’s history in Manitowoc.
