Wisconsin 2022 elections: Who's running in the 59th Assembly District?

 

The shamelessly GOP gerrymandered 59th Assembly District runs north-south for 70 miles, covering portions of northern Washington, eastern Fond du Lac, western Sheboygan, and southern Calumet counties.  Quite the sprawl.

Currently in his 2nd term in the Assembly, 59th District representative Timothy Ramthun (R) is running for governor.  It's an open seat for Republicans in Wisconsin deepest red district.

With no Democratic candidate in the race, the winner of the August 9th primary will be the new representative of the 59th District.
