Madison Then and Now: 652 State Street


That's the 1969 address of Burgerville.


The above photo accompanies the article, "State Street: It Could Be a Great Street" in the July 9, 1969, edition of the Capital Times.  (Found in the "Streets to Synagogues" drawer of the Madison Central Library clippings files.)

Address verified in the 1970 Madison City Directory.

At 670, a State Street Stalwart.

Caribou Coffee now occupies the space at 652 State Street.
