UPDATE. Trump continues to tank in Iowa, disapproval rating jumps 11 percentage points to 60%


Clearly, women in Iowa are repulsed by Trump, if not the GOP brand itself.

“He’s not really a leader,” said Diana Fern, 56, a homebirth midwife from Fairfield. “Because he doesn’t have experience, he’s not really leading. I feel like he’s reacting to situations, and he hasn’t really stated a clear vision. And I think his integrity is in question.”

Trump won Iowa with 51.8% of the vote compared to Clinton's 42.2%.

Beyond his wide support among Republicans, Trump enjoys strong approval ratings from
  1. rural voters (64 percent) 
  2. evangelical Christians (60 percent)
  3. residents of Iowa’s 4th Congressional District (55 percent) 
  4. Iowans ages 35-54 (51 percent) 
  5. men (50 percent)
