Sports World has been open for 15 years. Williamson started working on State Street in 1961 for Petrie’s Sports, which closed in 1988. Williamson is also known for his annual “10-can discount” sale for food pantries, where a customer can get a 50 percent discount with a donation of 10 cans of food.
